Long term succes
After a 17 year long career in aircraft interior design and composite manufacturing I decided to do things differently.
My career path started as an R&D Engineer developing new economy class passenger seats for one of the largest interiors OEM’s. Moving overseas from the Netherlands to the United states was a great adventure. And with a passion for aviation and a love for technology since my early childhood I landed at the right place.
Right from the start, I was involved with all elements involved with seat design and manufacturing. I dealt with suppliers, the shop floor, the launch customer and did my own testing and coordinated the certification process.
From there, I gradually gained experience through various management positions in engineering, operations and business development. Throughout my career I have developed suppliers, managed teams and closely collaborated with customers in an international environment.
Developing products withstanding an 16G dynamic impact and compliant to strict airworthiness requirements and managing AS9100, part 21G (POA) & part 145 (repair station) operations has given me a thorough understanding of aviation compliance.
Coming back to doing things differently. I now work independently, which allows me to spend more time with my beautiful family, support my wife’s amazing business and take on projects that I love. Like helping companies find the right partners for composite development, organize project and operational management or navigate through aerospace compliance.
One of the key lessons I learned through the years is that strong partnerships are critical for any business that is looking for long term success. Strong companies establish strong partnerships with their customers and their suppliers. And these connections happen through people.
